Industrial multipole connectors for tough applications

New housings for an industrial multipole connector series, revos BASIC and revos MINI, are corrosion resistant and dirt repellent. Their durable and weatherproof surface finish stands out due to its hardness, high temperature resistance (up to 250°C), and easy-to-clean features. The optional finish, applied to the standard aluminum housings, provides IP 65 protection. Standard housings also provide IP 65, as well as a UL Type 50E rating. Another plus for the specialty finish: it prevents adhesion of dirt and other substances. The smooth, black, glossy finish also withstands mechanical wear, is scratch and abrasion-proof, and resistant to organic solvents. These housings are ideally suited for extremely rough and highly corrosive environments such as offshore wind parks and construction equipment. The housings satisfy DIN EN ISO 12944, corrosion class C5-high, which includes a salt spray test over 1440 hours.
