An industrial networking company has added four new models in its line of switches—the 110FX2, 111FX3, 112FX4 and 114FX6. The new switches are part of the company’s compact 100 series. The tough network devices are intended for full-wire speed communications in industrial data acquisition, control, and Ethernet I/O applications. Each model offers a combination of copper and fiber ports. The switches have auto-sensing 10/100basetx and duplex, up to six fiber ports, and they feature store-and-forward technology. Other plusses include additions to the 100 Series use advanced IEEE 802.3 Fast Ethernet 10/100BaseTX switching technology to ensure reliable high-speed network communications by eliminating most all data collisions and increasing determinism.

N-TRON Corp., an industrial networking company, has added six models to its family of fully managed Industrial Ethernet switches. Housed in compact, hardened enclosures, the 709FX, 710FX2, 711FX3, 712FX4, 714FX6 and 7010TX provide maximum performance in harsh industrial environments. A few highlights include
• -40 to 70°C operating temperature
• Rugged DIN-rail enclosure
• ESD and surge protection diodes on all ports
• Redundant power inputs 10 to 49 Vdc
• Configurable bi-color fault-status LED
• Store-and-forward technology
• Onboard temperature sensor
SD memory card configuration backup (optional)
The compact devices meet requirements of wind farms, utilities, including power substations, and industrial process control applications where noise immunity and support for longer distances are essential. Up to 6 fibers ports in a small form factor let users configure fiber rings and fiber uplinks, in a cost-effective way. The 7010TX also supports gigabit fiber.
