The Graco EP Pour Gun, is for open pour applications and closed-mold injection. The applicator features an updated mix head that lets users rebuild the mixing head on site instead of sending it back to the manufacturer. ManufacEPGun 300x300turers won’t have a second mixhead in reserve, which will lower capital outlay and rebuild costs. The pour gun processes rigid and flexible polyurethanes, and filled materials. Flow rates span 1 to 50 lb/min (0.45 to 22.7 kg/min) and wide fluid-ratio capabilities of 1:1 to greater than 5:1. Reliable performance comes from a lubricated purge rod that reduces material sticking, and the mechanically self-cleaning design eliminates costly solvent flushing.

The DC12 High-Volume Metering System is intended for dispensing large amounts of adhesive and tooling paste. The equipment, from Graco Inc, Minneapolis, is ideal for applications in the wind-energy market. “This unit also marks the beginning of a more high-volume metering systems in the wind-energy market,” says company’s manager of advanced fluid dispensing Doug Brady.

GracoDC12

The DC12 High Volume Metering System provides repeatable on-ratio dispensing and works to accuracies of ±3%.

The DC12 is said to accurately deliver up to 12 kg/min (26 lb/min) of adhesives and up to 6 kg/min (13 lb/min) of tooling paste. It features an intuitive, easy-to-use touch panel. The EnGarde ratio monitor has optional external flow meters to offer ratio monitoring independent of the ratio and supply system. And, the company says, the D200s Supply Systems are the industry’s most durable, reliable pumps that maximize system uptime.

Software and Hardware for Managing Lubricants

Graco Matrix productThe Matrix Wireless Fluid Management System tracks, monitors, and reports the lubricating oil and fluids used in manufacturing and service applications. Components from Graco Inc., Minneapolis,  include dispense meters, Tank Level Monitors (TLM), Transceivers, Pump Air Controls (PAC), and operating software. Matrix uses wireless technology to initiate dispense orders and monitor tank-level information by the transceiver. The PAC reduces unauthorized dispensing by turning the normally-closed pump-air supply “on” only when Matrix authorizes the dispense, which also eliminates the risk of pumping the fluid container dry if a leak develops downstream of the pump. Fourteen meters can be adapted to an oil bar configuration as well. The TLM monitors fluid levels in the tanks and can e-mail the data to oil distributors to prevent stock-out issues.

Low Volume Flow Meters from Graco

Graco Flow Meter ArticleThe recent SDM15 and SDP15 flow meters feature high flow rates (14.0 gpm, 53.0 lpm) for fast dispense times. The series, from Graco Inc., Minneapolis, also includes the SDM5 and SDP5 meters for lower flow rate tasks, up to 5.0 gpm (18.9 lpm). The series includes preset models, some with the capability to program up to three preset settings. Other innovations include a variable-flow triggering that controls the dispense flow. A pressure balanced valve provides equal trigger force at low and high flows for less operator fatigue. And lastly, a straight-thread, O-ring, boss-nozzle extension provides non-leaking performance without sealant or tape, while a twist-lock nozzle eliminates dripping. All these innovations are packaged in an all-metal fluid housing for indoor and outdoor use, providing unmatched durability and reliability.

Also available is the SDV15, a non-metered valve which includes many of the same features of the metered versions.

The developer also has a new family of standard-flow electronic meters, dubbed LDM5 and LDP5. These are for indoor dispense applications and provide standard flow rates of 5.0 gpm (18.9 lpm). The family includes manual dispense and preset dispense models with a number of optional accessories to custom configure the meter.

Graco helps provide the right lubrication to the right bearing

A wide range of automatic lubrication prGraco Articleoducts protect wind turbines while they operate. Accurate, reliable, and adjustable lubrication for each lube point keeps critical machinery in the nacelle running at peak performance for increased productivity, lower maintenance costs, and more efficient lubrication where and when it’s needed. Recent products from Graco Inc., Minneapolis, include several mono-block series progressive metering devices ideally suited for lubricating the wind turbine’s critical bearing points.
“Graco’s centralized lubrication equipment covers the broadest range of applications in the industry,” says the company’s Jon Knutson, in charge of industrial lubrication equipment. “Our line of pumps, metering devices, and controllers let customers select equipment that best fit their applications. The devices include simple, straight forward designs for smaller turbine installations, or more advanced lubrication equipment to protect the critical components on today’s large megawatt turbines.”
