26-port, ac-powered, rack mounted switch ready for action

By Paul Dvorak | July 25, 2011

The 7026TX series is available through N-Tron’s worldwide network of distributors and sales partners.

A manufacturer of industrial networking products has expanded its fully-managed gigabit-capable 7026TX Series with the introduction of a 26-port 7026TX-AC rack-mounted switch. Like the 7026TX, the new switch installs in a 19-in. open-frame rack or machine cabinet. Both models feature a flexible multiport design with 24, 10/100BaseTX copper interfaces and two gigabit SFP expansion ports. The 7026TX-AC accepts either high-voltage ac or dc power (90 to 264 Vac or 90 to 300 Vdc).

Both 7026TX models use the company’s N-Ring featuring N-Link redundancy and N-View OPC server. N-Ring technology provides expanded ring capacity, detailed fault diagnostics, and fast ~30ms healing times. Multiple N-Rings—each containing up to 250 N-Tron fully managed devices—can be quickly connected through N-Link, forming redundant communication pathways and increasing overall network resiliency.
The N-View OPC server easily interfaces with industry-standard HMI software, enabling integration of switch information. Additionally, manufacturer N-Tron provides a reliable browser interface to check and configure switch options, view network traffic, alarms, and trend information.
The 7026TX products provide a range of convenient auto-sensing and auto-configuring processes. Fully-managed features include port security, local IP addressing, trunking, port mirroring, VLAN, IGMP snooping and querying, CIP messaging, QoS, LLDP, DHCP, RSTP and optional SA configuration backup capability.
Both 7026TX models provide maximum reliability and expanded tolerances to vibration, electrical noise, and temperature extremes from -40 to 80°C. Each unit offers LED indicators for link status and activity on each port and ESD/surge protection diodes on the 24 10/100BaseTX ports. The series carries a rating of one million MTBF.

Underwriter’s Laboratories has approved the 7026 series. Both models have earned the UL and C-UL (Class I-Div 2) HazLoc safety certification, signifying the products safe for use in the presence of flammable gases, vapors, or liquids as well as ordinary locations. The UL approval is an internationally respected acknowledgement of the products’ safety and compliance to the testing organization’s strict standards.
