A class: An Introduction to Materials Engineering and Selection

By Paul Dvorak | June 25, 2013

nCode provides a wide range of technical training classes focused on practical durability and fatigue related engineering problems, signal processing – and now, An Introduction to Materials Engineering and Selection.

The purpose of this Professional Development course is to introduce materials engineering to new design engineers and offer a ncoderefresher course for senior engineers interested in using new materials.

The content of this new course offers:

A better understanding of why the designer should choose material A Grade P rather than material Grade M or even an entirely different material

A better understanding on how material chemistry, microstructure, manufacture, processing and surface engineering influences fatigue performance

An introduction to high-temperature materials

An introduction to performance and modeling of new polymer and composite materials

A summary of key background information that tends to be overlooked or covered in limited depth in ordinary non-fatigue specific training courses

The information you need to achieve final design faster and with more confidence than today

Class dates in Southfield, Mich.
