A coating for brake rotors

By Windpower Engineering | May 10, 2011

Magni 140 is a chrome-free, high performance coating for brake rotors and other brake system components. This zinc rich, inorganic, metallic film also contains other corrosion inhibitors in a single, thin layer. This coating can be cured but it also dries in ambient conditions. Magni 140 provides exceptional corrosion resistance and will protect brake components against the corrosive, usually under-vehicle environment. The coating will withstand temperatures as high as 450°C without sacrificing corrosion performance. Intended for the entire rotor, including the braking surface, this coating will not spall or impact braking performance.
