By Michelle Froese | March 7, 2019

The Silver Achievement Award recognizes in advancing environmental, health and safety as a core value across the wind industry.

ACCIONA Energy was awarded the Silver Achievement Award, which recognizes in advancing environmental, health, and safety as a core value across the wind industry.

For the second consecutive year ACCIONA Energy has been awarded the American Wind Energy Association’s (AWEA) Safety and Health Achievement Award. Last year the company received the Gold Award, this year it earned the Silver Award.

The annual award, which was delivered during AWEA’s O&M and Safety Conference in San Diego, recognizes excellence in leadership integrating safety and health management performance.

“ACCIONA’s primary principle is the safety of our personnel and communities,” said Karl DeLooff, Director of Quality, Safety and Environment with ACCIONA Energy US Global. “We’re proud of our longstanding role advancing sustainability.”

ACCIONA is committed to safety and health as pillars of sustainable business.

“These awards are a recognition of the work done by our teams to embrace our safety culture,” said Krys Rootham, Vice President of Operations. “It is a testament to success of the QSE in bringing leading edge safety standards and education to all of our offices and projects, and to the commitment of O&M, Construction, Engineering and support staff in embracing a strong safety culture and belonging to Team ACCIONA.”
