Anataira introduces a new compact industrial unmanaged 5-port switch

By Michelle Froese | January 10, 2017

The new LNX-C500 series is designed for industrial applications that have small space requirements, and is backed by a five-year warranty.

Antaira Technologies, developer and manufacturer of industrial device networking and communication products for harsh environments, introduces the new compact LNX-C500 series.

The new LNX-C500 series is an IP-30 rated compact 5-port industrial unmanaged Ethernet switch embedded with five Fast Ethernet RJ45 ports. The small form factor of its metal casing switch is 30% smaller, providing for a more versatile implementation. It is designed to fulfill industrial applications that have small space requirements, such as for energy, utility, security, transportation, or other sectors.

The LNX-C500 is equipped with 5*10/100 RJ45 Ethernet ports with a backplane speed of 1Gbps. It supports a 12~48VDC redundant power input with reverse polarity and overload current protection. This product series can be either DIN-rail or wall mounted and the parts are included.

The new series provides wide operating temperature range models for either a STD: -10°C to 70°C or an EOT: -40° to 75°C. These units also have high EFT, surge (2,000 VDC), and ESD (6,000VDC) protection to prevent against any unregulated voltage.

The compact size and lightweight design has dimensions of 26mm (W) x 75mm (D) x 95mm (H) and a unit weight of only one pound.
