Antaira Technologies introduces 5-Port PoE+ managed switch line

By Paul Dvorak | January 14, 2015

Antaira Technologies, a developer and supplier of device networking and industrial communication products, announces its expansion in the industrial PoE+ networking infrastructure family with the LMP-0501 and LMP-0501-24 series.

LMP-0501 and LMP-0501-24 series are backed by a five year warranty and are IP30 rated, compact, fanless, DIN-Rail and wall mountable.

LMP-0501 and LMP-0501-24 series are backed by a five year warranty and are IP30 rated, compact, fanless, DIN-Rail and wall mountable.

Antaira Technologies’ LMP-0501 and LMP-0501-24 series is a 5-port industrial PoE+ managed Ethernet switch, with 48 to 55 Vdc high voltage power input (LMP-0501) and 12 to 36 Vdc low voltage power input with a built-in voltage booster (LMP-0501-24). Each unit is designed with four 10/100Tx Fast Ethernet ports that are IEEE 8023.at/af compliant (PoE+ and PoE) with data and PoE up to a maximum power output of 30W per port. There is one additional 100Fx Fiber port that supports either an SC or ST type connection, and has either a multi-mode 2 km or single-mode 30 km option.

Each unit provides a high EFT, surge (2,000 Vdc) and ESD (6,000 Vdc) protection. It is also built with a dual power input design and a reverse polarity protection. There is also a built-in relay warning function to alert maintainers when power failures occur. This unit is fulfills special needs for industrial automation, outdoor applications, and extreme ambient weather environments.

This product series is pre-loaded with the “Layer 2” network management software. It supports an easy-to-use Web Console or Telnet through a serial console by using a Command Line Interface (CLI) configuration. Antaira’s managed switches provide the redundant networking ring function along with the Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) and the ITU-G.8032 support, which helps to eliminate the compatibility issue for an existing network. In addition, the unit has built-in SNMP, VLAN, IGMP, QoS features that help support network planners to increase data transmission performance within the network. The external USB2.0 port allows users to export and save all the configuration settings. Also, the flexible “custom label” feature allows network planners to name each connection port, making it easy to recognize each field device. This can become handy when working with remote management applications.

The LMP-0501 and LMP-0501-24 series are backed by a five year warranty and are IP30 rated, compact, fanless, DIN-Rail and wall mountable. The unit also has temperature extreme version options for either a standard temperature range (-10 to 70°C) or an extended operating temperature range (-40 to 75°C). The model series have the dimensions of 46mm (W) x 99mm (D) x 142mm (H) and a unit weight of 1.5 lbs.
