Antaira unwraps a 6-port 10/100Tx managed POE switch

By Paul Dvorak | March 24, 2015

Antaira Technologies, a developer and supplier of industrial network devices and communication equipment for harsh environmental applications, announces its expansion in the industrial power-over-Ethernet (POE) infrastructure family with the LMP-0600 series.

Antaira Technologies’ LMP-0600 series is a cost effective 6-port industrial poe+ managed Ethernet switch that supports a 48~55 Vdc high voltage power input. Each unit is designed with four 10/100Tx Fast Ethernet ports that are IEEE 8023.at/af compliant (poe+/poe) and have a poe power output of up to 30W per port.

Each unit is designed with four 10/100Tx Fast Ethernet ports that are IEEE 8023.at/af compliant (poe+/poe) and have a poe power output of up to 30W per port. In addition, there are two 10/100Tx Fast Ethernet ports. The dual power input designed product series provides a reverse polarity, EFT, surge (2,000 Vdc) and ESD (6,000 Vdc) protection. There is also a built-in relay warning function to alert maintainers when power failures occur. This makes it ideal for applications requiring a high reliability, distance extension capability, and/or any harsh environment flexibility.

This product series is pre-loaded with “Layer 2” network management software, of which, it supports an ease of use Web Console or Telnet using a serial console with CLI configuration. All Antaira managed switches provide a redundant ring network function with RSTP and the ITU-G.8032 support, which eliminates the compatibility issue for any existing network concern. In addition, the built-in SNMP, VLAN, IGMP, and qos features support the network planners to increase data transmission performance within the network. The external USB2.0 port allows users to export and save all the configuration settings. In addition, the port specific customizable labeling feature allows network planners to name each connection port. This allows for easy remote management by being able to easily read field devices.

The IP30 rated LMP-0600 series is backed by a five year warranty. The units are compact, fanless, and DIN-Rail/wall mountable. Each unit is built to withstand industrial networking hazards like shock, drop, vibration, electromagnetic interference (EMI). The unit also has temperature extreme version options for either a standard temperature range (-10 to 70°C) or an extended operating temperature range (-40 to 75°C). The model series have the dimensions of 46 x 142  x 99 mm and a unit weight of 1.3 pounds.
