AWS Truepower releases March 2016 Wind Trends Bulletin

By Michelle Froese | April 11, 2016

WTB March 2016.inddRenewable energy consultants, AWS Truepower, have released their Wind Trends Bulletin for the month of March. Monthly wind performance maps showed deviations in the wind resource from average March conditions in every region of the world.

The monthly Wind Trends Bulletin is based on a custom combination of three re-analysis datasets: ERA-Interim, MERRA, and CFSR. The use of all three allows for rapid, reliable updates of global wind conditions.

Knowing the performance of the wind can help wind developers understand the performance of their wind plant. AWS Truepower can help identify areas of improvement, reduce downtime, and maximize a wind plant’s energy production.
