Bachmann Electronic shows solutions for smart turbines in Husum

By Paul Dvorak | July 21, 2017

Four months after the first round of tendering for onshore wind energy in Germany, everything at Husum Wind, the meeting place of the German-speaking wind industry, will be about cost reduction. And also at the Bachmann Electronic stand 5B07. Bachmann controllers are 100% cent Made in Austria, and the company places great importance on the quality of materials used and the intelligence of the solution.

Bachmann Electronic is using Husum Wind to present its Smart Turbine Automation concept and will be throwing all its experience into the ring: 100,000 wind turbines – worldwide one in three – are equipped with Bachmann control technology or condition monitoring systems.

“We have long noticed that the cost issue is very important to our customers, and we believe that the best way we can help is by giving them a digital advantage. Smart automation not only increases turbine efficiency but also helps to structure and connect the ever-increasing masses of data involved. This saves valuable time, says managing director Bernhard Zangerl. The controller no longer just processes individual standardized signals for the operational management of the turbine but is becoming more of an intelligent control center that also takes into account and processes the most varied turbine measurement signals, superordinate information from SCADA systems, evaluations of analytical correlation tools etc. online.
