Baumer says its HS35 combines a rugged HeavyDuty design with an unrivalled precision into a new high-performance and versatile product family.

Originally conceived for the North American Market, HS 35 now reveals a general interest in the “all-American guy”, especially in India and China. We are convinced that Italy and more European countries offer a considerable market potential for this encoder platform.

The Baumer HS35 combines a rugged HeavyDuty design with an unrivalled precision into a new high-performance and versatile product family. The design includes our proven dual bearing system, durable shaft seals and IP 67 environmental ratings, sealed connector or cable glands, and an ultra-precise optical scanning (LowHarmonics) system. The Baumer HS35 is available for shaft diameters from 0.5 to 1-in. (standard). Insulating inserts prevent undesired shaft currents to maximize bearing lifetime and enables mounting on smaller shafts. Through shaft or blind shaft mounting with closed cover allow encoder to maintain its outstanding environmental ratings. Proven applications include motor and drive control, oil and gas, cranes, and elevators and hoists

A few product highlights include:

  • IP 67 robust package
  • ≤ 60 arcsec accuracy
  • Withstands 200g  shock
  • -40 to +212 °F standard operating temperature
  • User configurable design and fully programmable, model HS35P
  • Programmable encoder versions available from stock

Benefits include increased reliability, precise closed loop speed control, and a reduced inventory because one part number required (programmable HS35P) Warranty 3 years

HS 35 is available as sine wave configuration as well as programmable and non-programmable with rectangular signals. To learn more, use this link to navigate to the HS 35 US microsite or download the product brochure (PDF 1,9 MB).
