In early November, the board of the working group wind industry in the VDMA elected Bernhard Zangerl, CEO of Bachmann electronic, unanimously as the new chairman of the wind industry working group.
Bernhard Zangerl takes over the representation of the entire industrial value chain of the wind industry in the VDMA. “We are intensively working with our network on strategies to ensure the competitiveness of manufacturers and suppliers of the wind industry in the VDMA in the long run. Especially at the interfaces in the value chain, it is important to lift existing potentials, which could cater for cost savings and an optimization of technologies and production processes.”
Zangerl succeeds Stefan Tenbrock, CEO Mechanical Drives at Siemens AG, who successfully led as chairman of the working group since 2013. Andreas von Bobart, General Manager of GE Wind Energy GmbH, takes over the deputy chairman position of the working group.
The VDMA working group wind industry with currently about 110 member companies is the information hub and network for the entire width of the wind industry in machinery and plant engineering. It is the central contact point for wind energy related topics and activities within the VDMA.
