According to the BOEM, the meeting will address stakeholder engagement related to the development of offshore wind on the Outer Continental Shelf of New York.

The U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) is inviting the public to attend its annual meeting of the New York Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force on October 3 in New York. The meeting is being held to continue stakeholder engagement related to the development of offshore wind resources on the Outer Continental Shelf offshore New York.

The meeting objectives are to:

  • Update the Task Force and stakeholders on BOEM’s recent leasing activities on the Outer Continental Shelf.
  • Introduce BOEM’s Request for Feedback and discuss the Path Forward for future leasing activities on the Atlantic.
  • Update the Task Force and stakeholders on New York’s Offshore Wind Master Plan and study efforts.
  • Provide opportunities for public input on the topics being considered by the Task Force.

More details on speakers and the agenda will be available on our website in the coming weeks. Registration will begin at 8:30am, with the meeting starting at 9am at the Hotel Indigo until about 4:30pm. Auxiliary aids and services will be provided upon request.

Additional details, including BOEM’s history of coordination with the New York Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Task Force, are available on BOEM’s website here.
