Brass Knuckle’s new impact and slip-resistant glove offers ANSI level 4 cut resistance with a comfortable fit

By Michelle Froese | July 19, 2016

SmartShell™ BKCR4599, a heavy-duty protective glove offering wide-ranging protection for extreme jobs.

SmartShell BKCR4599 is a heavy-duty protective glove offering cut, slip, and moisture-resistance that includes wide-ranging protection for extreme jobs.

Brass Knuckle safety products introduces the SmartShell BKCR4599, a heavy-duty glove that provides wide-range protection for extreme jobs. The BKCR4599 is a category jumper that offers strong cut resistance, light oil and moisture resistance, non-tacky slip resistance, and shock-absorbing impact protection — all in an easy-wearing glove that defies comfort expectations.

Providing a broad spectrum of protection, the BKCR4599 is a high-end mechanic’s glove that delivers ANSI level 4 cut resistance with a breathable, durable, and flexible fit.

On the palm and fingers, the BKCR4599 offers three layers of protection. The liner is an ultra-high performance polyethylene and spandex composite that provides strong cut resistance without bulk. Bonded to that first layer is a gray polyurethane fabric, topped with a grippy nitrile surface — a barrier to light oil or other light liquid penetration.

In critical areas of the palm, padding provides additional impact resistance. Finally, the back of the hand is loaded with sonically welded thermoplastic rubber padding that easily counters workplace pounding and abrasion.

This is mega-mighty construction—combining fit, form, and function, and all without sacrificing long-wearing comfort and excellent dexterity.

“This is a heavy hitter,” said Tony Spearing, VP of Brass Knuckle. “But like every Brass Knuckle product, this glove starts with fit. With such an amazing lineup of protective features, the BKCR4599 separates itself with its wearability, and we exhaustively designed it to impress on this front.”
