Broadwind Energy, provider of parts and services for wind turbines, announced $28 million in new tower orders from a U.S. wind-turbine manufacturer. Broadwind will produce these towers in its Manitowoc, Wisconsin facility for delivery later this year.
“Our experienced team in Manitowoc has built more than 2,000 wind towers since 2008 for multiple customers,” stated Broadwind interim CEO Stephanie Kushner. “We continue to be in late-stage discussions to fill the remaining capacity for 2016 and beyond.”
