Broadwind has picked up $35 million of new wind-turbine tower orders.
Broadwind Energy announced $35 million of new wind-turbine tower orders for production at the company’s Manitowoc, WI and Abilene, TX facilities. The order is from an undisclosed customer.
“Wind energy installation forecasts are notably higher over the next two years; as the industry continues to capture the benefits of the production tax credit. We are pleased that U.S. manufacturing jobs will support this surge in development,” said Broadwind President and CEO Stephanie Kushner.
Tower deliver is expected scheduled for delivery sometime in 2020.
Kushner added: “These orders build on the previously announced $98M of tower orders scheduled to be produced through 2020.”
