The Business Network for Offshore Wind (The Network) has announced a surge of new members that have joining their base — more than 94 so far this year alone. This has boosted the Network’s membership total to 302, topping the 300 mark for the first time.
“I’m thrilled to welcome so many new businesses to the Network,” said Liz Burdock, President and CEO of the Network. “This is a great time for businesses to get involved in offshore wind because the market is exploding and the industry is poised for exponential growth in the coming years.”
The diverse group of new members ranges from large international companies to small businesses and includes both offshore wind veterans and new entrants into the industry. Together, they offer a range of services including engineering, consulting, training, law, transportation, logistics, shipping, siting, construction, communications, manufacturing, fabrication, cabling and more, and include government agencies, non-profit associations, and electric utilities as well.
“These new members have a tremendous amount of passion and expertise to contribute, and their participation will help shape the industry for years to come,” added Burdock.
