Broadwind Energy announces $23 million in new tower orders

By Michelle Froese | December 7, 2016

The towers will be produced at Broadwind’s Wisconsin and Texas’ facilities.

Broadwind Energy, Inc. announced $23 million in new wind-turbine tower orders. The company will produce these towers in its Manitowoc, Wisconsin and Abilene, Texas facilities for 2017 delivery.

“We have booked over $250 million in new tower orders so far in 2016,” said Broadwind President and CEO Stephanie Kushner. “Both of our tower manufacturing facilities are operating consistently and a good portion of our 2017 capacity is under contract.”

Kushner added: “We are proud of the contributions our highly-skilled team is making to U.S. manufacturing and to the wind industry.”
