A new partnership between BGVA and Renewable Energy Resources International sees Andy Geissbuehler take the lead of BVGA’s U.S. offshore wind business.

BVG Associates (BVGA) and Renewable Energy Resources International are delighted to announce a partnership that will see Andy Geissbuehler lead BVGA’s U.S. offshore wind business. 

As Managing Partner with Virginia based Renewable Resources International, Andy brings extensive commercial and operational experience in the global energy business. Andy brings a proven track-record accelerating new business opportunities, reliably executing large contracts and orienting organizations for global engagement. Andy has held executive positions with major multinationals such as ABB, Alstom, and GE. Most recently, he led GE’s U.S. offshore wind operations with the construction of Deepwater Wind’s Block Island, the first commercial offshore wind farm in the U.S.

With Andy on board, BVGA looks forward to helping the U.S. offshore wind market grow by combining European offshore wind market experience with US offshore capabilities.

Andy, an American and Swiss citizen, speaks four languages, holds a Master’s in Engineering and Industrial Management (ETH Zurich), an MBA (William & Mary Mason School of Business, Virginia) and pursued various executive education such as INSEAD’s Advanced Management Program. His background also includes serving as Chairman of the Board for several renewable energy Special Purpose Companies.
