Hendrix says its Spacer Cable System provides protection for bare and UG wires.

Hendrix, a manufacturer of overhead and underground power distribution products recently introduced its Spacer Cable System and 34.5 kV TRXLP-insulated medium voltage underground cable.

The company says its Spacer Cable System provides protection for bare or UG wires. It can also be used where wildlife protection is an issue and where right-of-way is at a premium. The conductors have a covering that can withstand temporary contact with environmental hindrances (tree branches and bushes), which reduces outages and improves power quality. Additionally, wildlife is better protected from exposure to lethal currents.

The 34.5 kV TRXLP is ideal for the wind industry and is customizable to wind farm layouts, says the company. Manufactured in the U.S., the cable is tested to ICEA/AEIC Standards and is dry-cure, triple-extruded. The conductor comes in aluminum or copper and is offered in sizes ranging from 1/0 through 1,250 kcmil in full and reduced concentric neutral configurations.
