Canadian Wind Energy Association (CanWEA) – 33rd Annual Conference and Exhibition – October 3-5, 2017 (CNW Group/Canadian Wind Energy Association)

What: CanWEA 2017 is Canada’s largest wind energy conference, attracting close to 1,500 attendees and well over 100 exhibiting companies from around the world. It’s the place to see wind energy-related products and services, learn industry brand names, network with leading industry decision makers, generate numerous first-rate business leads and hear from influential utility experts and policymakers. Speakers include The Honourable Jim Carr, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, Canadian Electricity Association CEO Sergio Marchi, and business leaders representing all segments of the wind energy industry. Please see our detailed program.

Where: Palais des congrès de Montréal, 1001 Jean Paul Riopelle Pl, Montreal, QC H2Z 1H5

Why: The world is in the midst of an unmistakable and unstoppable shift to a low-carbon future, and the strongest economies to emerge will be those that transform the way they produce and use energy. CanWEA 2017 examines this Energy Transition, and the central role wind energy will play in supplying the reliable, low-cost, emissions-free electricity that will drive future growth.

How: On-line application for media accreditation allows full access to the media center, plenary sessions, keynote luncheons, presentation venues and the exhibition floor. The media center, in Room 518A, opens at 12:30 p.m. on October 3. Please follow the link to register.
