In April 2014, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration published new, updated rules and regulations for electrical power generation, transmission and distribution. Impacting both construction and general industry situations, the compliance deadline for most of the rules and regulations specific to fall protection is April 1, 2015. OSHA estimates the new rules will prevent an additional 118 workplace injuries and 20 fatalities or more annually. During the expo, Capital Safety training experts will be on hand to discuss the new OSHA requirements impacting fall protection for the electrical utility industry.
“Capital Safety has the products, tools and training to help you be compliant with the new OSHA regulations,” said Jerry Falk, director, Training and Technical Services, Capital Safety. “Capital Safety offers on-site and online training, in addition to 20 global state-of-the-art training centers, including our newest location in Tustin, California.”
Capital Safety is also offering a free white paper outlining the new OSHA fall protection requirements.
