Capital Safety has introduced two new additions to its widely used i-Safe 3.0 Intelligent Safety System global product line – the Unitech PA690 Handheld Unit and the MX5 USB Reader for desktop applications. The advanced, automated i-Safe 3.0 makes managing a safety inspection program faster, easier, and more cost-effective.

The Unitech PA690 Handheld Unit, equipped with a docking cradle, is a cost-effective alternative to the popular Psion dual reader. Unlike the Psion, the PA690 is a high frequency (HF) RFID reader that features a QWERTY keypad and a high-resolution digital camera for asset management.

The slim and lightweight MX5 USB Reader lets customers read high frequency RFID tags already attached to many of Capital Safety’s safety products.

The slim, lightweight design of the new MX5 USB Reader lets customers read high frequency RFID tags already attached to many of Capital Safety’s safety products. The MX5 USB Reader helps manage inventory of safety assets efficiently and effectively.

“Many of our customers depend on the i-Safe 3.0 to streamline their product inspections and compliance activities on a day-to-day basis,” said Chris Elder, senior product manager at Capital Safety. “The technology of the Unitech Handheld model and USB Reader add a whole new level of convenience to the existing i-Safe system, which is already user-friendly because of its compatibility with Android, iPhone, and iPad platforms.”

With a refresh to the product line, the state-of-the-art i-Safe 3.0 ensures more consistent safety compliance and mitigates active and future risks, all while saving time and money.CaCapiCapital Safety
