A global developer in adhesives, SCIGRIP, recently unveiled its SG900 Seaming Adhesive for joining and seaming solid surfaces. The company says SG900 is formulated with the latest technology for the surfacing industry and offers excellent bonding to a variety of solid surface substrates including acrylics, engineered stone, cultured marble, glass reinforced plastics, polyesters and polyester blended materials. Available in a full range of colors, the room temperature fast-curing SG900 is ideal for a variety of construction and engineering applications, including marine, transportation, wind energy, and automotive aftermarket.

“The SG900 Seaming Adhesive is the latest addition to SCIGRIP’s comprehensive offering of high-performance surfacing industry adhesive technologies,” explained Karen Brock Amoah, Director of Sales & Marketing. “The newly formulated SG900 delivers superior adhesion properties in a variety of color choices used in solid surface applications.”

Featuring superior water and chemical resistance, including household chemicals, SG900 is also scuff and impact resistant and matches work surface texture when dry. Fabricators will benefit from the environmental conformance properties of SG900 adhesives and the color matching choices that include, Snow White, Alpine White, Antique White, Linen, Vanilla Creme, Ivory, Luminous White, Oatmeal, Seashell, Opal, Mocha Creme, Chocolate, Charcoal, Onyx and Ebony.

SCIGRIP SG900 is a two-component, 10:1 mix ratio adhesive designed for joining and seaming solid surfaces and is available in 250 ml cartridges. SCIGRIP meets the requirements for low VOC emission limits established by the California SCAQMD – one of the most stringent regulations in the U.S. The use of SCIGRIP SG900 Low VOC products can also qualify contractors for one credit toward the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED certification for green building.
