NextEra Energy will provide a total of 520 MW of wind power to AT&T as Corporate America to increase its use of renewable energy.
The decision earlier this month by AT&T (Dallas, Texas) to ink contracts for 520 MW of wind power with a unit of NextEra Energy (Juno Beach, Florida) is the latest move by Corporate America to increase its use of renewable energy.
Other technology companies that have signed purchase power agreements (PPAs) or are sitting renewable generation at their facilities include: Apple (Cupertino, California); Alphabet (Mountain View, California), the corporate parent of Google; T-Mobile U.S. (Bellevue, Washington); Microsoft (Redmond, Washington), Amazon.com (Seattle, Washington); and Facebook (Menlo Park, California).
