Corrugated tubes protect wind turbine cables

By Windpower Engineering | April 11, 2011

Corrugated tubes protect cables in wind turbines against impact and abrasion. The tubes are flexibile, extended fatigue life, and can be paired with straight or 90° tube connectors, seals, and O-rings. The durable polyamide corrugated tubes come in 15 different sizes with inner dimensions ranging from 2.8 to 47.7 mm. They can be supplied as standard tubes or with a lateral slit. All versions are halogen free and flame retardant, according to DIN 75200 and UL. The RoHS-compliant tubes are protection-rated to IP65 (without sealing) or IP68 (with O-ring) and perform reliably from -40 to 120°C, and for brief periods to 150°C.
