Custom-fit covers for wind-power equipment

By Paul Dvorak | June 3, 2011

Transhield’s Shrinkable Fabric covers feature a patented Adhesive Additive Delivery – Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor system which is said to provide 100% protection from corrosion during transportation and storage.

Custom fit covers are an alternative to heavy, expensive custom tarps or conventional hand wrapping for various wind-power applications. Transhield covers are made from Shrinkable Fabric and consist of three layers: an outer layer that is UV-resistant and anti-condensation, a middle adhesive layer, and a soft inner layer. The covers install easily and shrinking the cover makes for a tight fit, resulting in quality protection from factory to field for tower sections, root ends, blades, and other products.
