DNV GL announces IEEE PES Transmission Conference contest

By WPED Contributor | April 8, 2014

In preparation for the 2014 IEEE PES Transmission and Distribution Conference & Exposition taking place April 14-17 in Chicago, Ill., DNV GL announced a new survey contest to encourage equipment manufacturers to visit its booth at the conference.

Out of appreciation for completing a small survey regarding benefits and implications of certification, DNV GL is offering respondents a complimentary copy of the survey report, a special promotional item, and a raffle ticket for a chance to win an iPad mini or a Brookstone Boothtooth speaker.

The survey investigates what aspects of KEMA Type Test certificates are important for the industry, utilities, and manufacturers. All results will only be published in aggregate and are anonymous.

Also at its booth, DNV GL will have information about its newest laboratory, BEST Test & Commercialization center, as well as its NY-BEST Test Center in Rochester, NY. Interested visitors may also receive an invitation for a tour of the Rochester facility for its grand opening event on April 30, 2014.

DNV GL Software can also be found at booth 9424 where presenters will discuss:

  • SynerGee Electric 5.0, the standard for distribution planning and engineering analysis for maximizing reliability and system performance.
  • Cascade 3.51, the new version of Cascade helps utilities with asset health indesxing and asset risk management.
  • DTA 6, the new Cascade interface that can further predictive maintenance programs.
  • LOAD, the industry’s first enterprise Facility Ratings Management tool to help utilities manage NERC compliance.
