Drivetrain design firm to launch next gen software at Husum

By Paul Dvorak | August 30, 2012

Romax gearbox

The gearbox was designed in RomaxWind software, the next generation of which will be unveiled at Husum 2012.

An engineering firm that specializes in gearbox and drivetrain design and performance optimisation, will launch its next generation drivetrain design platform at HUSUM WindEnergy 2012. Claiming it will ‘drive down the cost of wind energy’ by improving reliability, reducing downtime, and promoting easier, less frequent maintenance, Romax will unveil details of its new platform at a special launch event on its stand 3CO5 in Hall 3 at 4.30pm on Tuesday, 18 September.

People can preregister to attend the launch or book a one-to-one meeting with Romax experts throughout HUSUM by visiting the Romax website www.romaxtech.com/HUSUM2012.

In addition to showcasing its new drivetrain design platform, the company will also present rolling demonstrations of InSight, its new advanced CMS diagnostics and analysis platform for optimising predictive maintenance programes, which it launched earlier this year.

“Husum is one of the premier events in the wind energy calendar, attracting thousands of key industry figures from all over the world,” says Stuart Cameron, Romax’s global head of marketing. “It’s the perfect opportunity to launch a new design concept which we are confident will be instrumental in driving down the cost of wind energy.”
