Gamesa supplied 48 of its G114-2.1 MW turbines for the Ohio-based wind project.
EDP Renováveis, S.A. (EDPR), through its fully owned subsidiary EDP Renewables North America LLC, has established a new institutional partnership structure for the 100-MW Amazon Wind Farm US Central. EDPR closed $114 million of institutional equity financing from MUFG and another institutional investor, in exchange for an interest in the wind project.
The project is located in the state of Ohio and has previously secured a long-term power-purchase agreement with Amazon Web Services, Inc. (an Amazon.com company).
According to EDPR, the institutional partnership structure established enables an efficient utilization of the fiscal benefits to be generated by the project.
