Ergodyne snags a couple product awards at Safety 2017

By Michelle Froese | August 31, 2017

Voters at the annual Safety 2017 trade show tapped the Chill-Its 6685 Dry Evaporative Cooling Vest (in the category of Heat Stress) and Skullerz Baldr Safety Glasses (in the category of Eye & Face Protection – Plano Safety Spectacles) as two of its top new products.

Erogdyne’s Evaporative Cooling Vest and Skullerz Baldr Safety Glasses win top new product awards at Safety 2017.

The 6685 employs a patented dry evaporative technology that keeps workers cool and dry in warm weather. Constructed with an inner lining and outer shell, this durable vest stays completely dry, but unlike other cooling vests, remains lightweight even when activated.

Combining a patented technology that cools the body’s core zones (both front and back), the dry vest boasts mesh material on the sides for increased ventilation and comfort.

Full-frame safety glasses boasting triple compliance, Baldr meets the requirements of ANSI Z87.1+, CSA Z94.3, and MIL-PRF 32432 Ballistic Impact protection to provide maximum coverage and compliance in style. Scratch-resistant lenses sit in a large frame and block 99.9% of harmful UV rays.

“Fog-Off,” anti-fog technology keeps wearer’s vision clear in the toughest conditions and will not wash or wear off. Premium polarized options reduce glare around water, snow, or large shiny objects. With 35 different frame and lens combos from which to choose, even the pickiest workers should find something for his or her style and application.

“We are honored to be recognized for these two great products,” said Tom Votel, president & CEO, Ergodyne. “Heat stress and eye protection are two critical issues in the workplace and we’re hell-bent on delivering smart, innovative solutions that provide compliance and then some.”
