The State of New York will play host to the world’s top sustainable energy experts from the public and the private sector who will provide information on policies, case studies, innovative products, contracting, and funding opportunities. The economic opportunities and the power of new energy will be unveiled in Niagara Falls and Buffalo New York on April 22 to 24, 2014 at the 6th Annual World Green Energy Symposium.
This World event has been held in major cities and venues and is known for drawing thousands of participants from a broad array of energy related disciplines. Some of the programs featured by the State include; the State of New York’s $1 billion initiative known as the NY Green Bank which supports clean energy economy while promoting job creation and fostering a cleaner environment throughout the state. In addition; the program will highlight the electric car program which features more than 325 new electric-vehicle charging stations and promoting the proliferation of electrified parking spaces. An update on the $100 million allocated to Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative proceeds for the new Cleaner Greener Communities program. The Regional Economic Development Councils will update on project opportunities designed to support smart growth and sustainability planning and a highlight on what projects and strategies are in effect to meet the goal of 20% increase in energy efficiency in state buildings over the next seven years.
