By Paul Dvorak | November 9, 2016

The company will supply G114-2.0 MW and G114-2.1 MW wind turbines for a wind farm located in the central United States.

The company will supply G114-2.0 MW and G114-2.1 MW wind turbines for a wind farm located in the central United States. The company has installed almost 8,000 MW around the globe.

Wind turbine OEM Gamesa has been awarded a contract for the supply of 99 MW for a wind farm in the south central United States. The wind farm will use  48 G114-2.0 MW and G114-2.1 MW turbines. Gamesa will deliver and commission the turbines slated for delivery in 2017, with the project to go into commercial operation the same year.

Gamesa has close to 4,800 MW in firm orders for G114 turbines worldwide. These models have been optimized for multiple wind speed sites.

Completion of the project, along with others on order or under construction will bring Gamesa’s installed capacity in the United States to over 5,000 MW.
