GE Renewable Energy has released its fourth quarter earnings. Overall, it was a good quarter for the business, with a total of $3.3B in orders.
The company had several large onshore wind contracts with key U.S. customers, totaling over 660 MWs and $1.9B. GE was also part of America’s first offshore wind farm, and provided five 6-MW GE Haliade turbines for the 30-MW Block Island project, which is now fully operational. GE Energy provided tax equity to the project developer, Deepwater Wind, as well.
