Remanufactured gearbox painted with the stars and stripes helps celebrate our nation’s independence.
Gearbox Express (GBX) showed its true colors by painting a newly remanufactured gearbox with stars and stripes to help further celebrate the United States’ independence as it was installed the week of the holiday.
“We had several gearboxes in the queue to be reinstalled after being remanufactured to the latest industry standards by GBX technicians,” said Bruce Neumiller, CEO of Gearbox Express. “This particular one was scheduled to go back into service in northern Michigan the week of the July 4, holiday and we thought it would add a patriotic touch to paint it red, white and blue with stars. Our team enjoyed the challenge of the intricate paint job and it was great to see it flying high against the clear, blue skies of Michigan.”
Gearbox Express expects it will paint other gearboxes again in the future. “We have received a lot of positive feedback from friends and customers alike,” Neumiller continued. “We are proud of the work we do helping keep the energy industry up and running in the United States, and painting our gearboxes to reflect that pride makes sense.
