The M1 automation system has been improved with an additional grid measuring option.
The direct integration in the M1 automation system simplifies and speeds engineering, enabling comprehensive remote diagnostics and teleservice. The fast sampling rate in each period also allows use for operational measurement, closed-loop control, as well as for condition monitoring.
The fast memory media and the wide range of communication interfaces of the M1 provide useful support especially for overall energy monitoring applications: Additional meters for gas or process heat can be supplemented by M-Bus or Modbus, external electricity meters via IEC61850 or IEC60870. A wide range of fieldbus or telecontrol protocols, OPC DA/UA as well as e-mail and FTP are provided for routing the collected energy data. The measuring intervals on several devices can be time synchronized by SNTP or the IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol to evaluate consumption values consistently.
Configuration and commissioning diagnostics are implemented in the SolutionCenter engineering tool through intuitive graphical interfaces, and offer access control with password protection in order to prevent manipulation.
Its compact design and synergy effects of direct integration makes the GM260 module an attractive solution, even for cost-sensitive applications
