Hi-Line offers new arc and flame-resistant outerwear

By Michelle Froese | October 26, 2016

hilineDesigned to deliver heat protection and excellent weather versatility in cold or warm temperatures, Hi-Line Utility Supply now offers new lines of protective outwear for construction and utility works.

The ArcLite Air series is 40% lighter than the original line and is specifically designed for utility workers who may be exposed to electric arcs. Waterproof, windproof, soft, and flexible, the outerwear series is made to eliminates user overheating.

Most importantly, it is minimizes potential heat-transfer burns and is arc and flame-resistant. It does not melt, drip, ignite, or break open. The ArcLite series has fall-protection access, and meets ASTM F1891, NFPA 70E, and ANSI 107 standards.

Hi-Line is also offering the Omega Series’ first waterproof and breathable outerwear line that combines high visibility with protection from thermal hazards. It is also electric arc and flash-fire resistant, and it reduces worker heat stress (so it protects with less weight).

The Omega Series provides for a removal winter liner with fall-protection access. It meets ASTM F1891, ASTM F2733, NFPA 70E, ANSI 107 stadards.
