McKnight, Regional Account Manager, Dematic Corp; Bill Regan, Committeeman, Township of South Hackensack; Sandra Junkers, HYTORC; Tyson Junkers, Creative Director, HYTORC; Eric Junkers, President, HYTORC; Jason Junkers, Chief Operating Officer, HYTORC; Anthony Ursillo, President, Hackensack Regional Chamber of Commerce, Walter Eckel Jr., Mayor, Township of South Hackensack.
Eric and Jason Junkers, along with elected and community leaders, recently cut the ribbon on HYTORC’s new John K. Junkers International Distribution Center in South Hackensack.
“HYTORC has customers throughout the world that need its unique industrial bolting equipment,” said HYTORC President Eric P. Junkers. “Now, with this distribution center, HYTORC is able to ship its products with industry-leading warehouse technology that will allow us to reach those customers faster and more efficiently.”
“For nearly 50 years HYTORC has been known for providing its clients with excellent and efficient service,” said Jason Junkers. “Now, after 18 months of construction and reorganization, this facility will help us maintain our status as the world leader in our industry.”
The facility – at 100 Wesley St., South Hackensack – is named to honor Eric and Jason Junkers’ father, the founder of HYTORC, who passed away in 2014. The facility is just 15 miles from the company’s Mahwah headquarters and has 40 employees.
HYTORC also provided a $1,000 donation to the South Hackensack Senior Citizens Club to express its commitment to the local community.
The world-class technology is the Dematic Multishuttle, often used in large, corporate distribution facilities, including Amazon. This system is comprised of a series of shuttle mechanisms, conveyors, lifts and over three forms of software. High-speed shuttles facilitate swift storage, inventory precision and purchase order fulfillment, bringing the product straight to warehouse workers for shipment.
The cutting-edge software and systems used at the new distribution center are rivaled only by the size and space HYTORC attained for its inventory needs. While the new technology enhances inventory control to a precise algorithm science, the vast storage space available brings this center to the status of worldwide warehouse headquarters.
The distribution center not only supplies and supports the domestic U.S. and North American markets, but also serves all HYTORC locations around the world. This distribution center now satisfies every client and branch order that the company receives, along with stocking inventory for the entire HYTORC line, including HYTORC Wind Sales, Equipment Rental and Repair Services and soon to be followed by the JETYD and Torque Gun Company sales and service.
Brand new floor-to-ceiling shelving maximizes storage capacity, with nearly every inch of the building being utilized. In fact, 50 percent of the facility is dedicated to inventory alone. This dense storage will help support growth for HYTORC branches spanning the world, with the inventory fulfillment center supporting expansion in the years to come.
The distribution center, designed to process 150 orders a day, includes:
- 920 feet of motorized conveyor
- 45 right-angle transfers
- Five sort zones
- 14 weigh stations on the conveyor; two induction systems; two special handling stations; a consolidation station; and two Goods-To-Person pick stations
- Primary storage locations of four 200-foot aisles by seven levels, using 28 Multi-Shuttles for extracting totes, totaling 10,800 individual locations in 10,500 square feet
- The primary storage locations use 13 feet, 10 inches of vertical space, out of a possible 14 feet
- An order storage buffer that is one 125-foot aisle by five levels high, using 5 Multi-Shuttles for extracting order totes, totaling 1,100 locations in 1,500 square feet
The technology present at the new center only increases a positive customer experience, as the new software maintains visibility at all times in terms of orders, invoices and inventory. With the touch of a finger, HYTORC employees are able to execute almost any customer inquiry, and also have the ability to know the status of any order at any time. Further, electronic scanning and computer connections means that invoicing and tracking occur in real-time, with customers receiving their invoices and updates almost immediately via e-mail.

Bravo and congratulations to Hytorc and its team.
Along with Enerpac, Hytorc is very good at what they do — that is why they are one of the most recognized hydraulic torque brands amongst industrial MRO personnel.
However, the reality is they are not the only tree in the forest.
In fact there actually are quiet a few hydraulic torque manufacturer that offer the core functionality a maintenance, repair, and/ operations manager needs to safely and cost-effectively tighten bolts in heavy-duty applications.
Call it a shameless plugin, but, at AMG Bolting Solutions we sell a brand called TORC… What is that you never heard of it?
That is part of the reason their bolting equipment cost 50% less than Hytorc and other hydraulic torque wrenches.
Yet, TORC actually manufacturers torque tools in the United States for many of the elite brands within the industry equipment industry.
Moreover, their corporate office is in the same building as …. well you guess it … Hytorc.
