ILSCO releases SureCrimp slotted tang connectors

By Nic Sharpley | April 2, 2013

ILSCONorth American manufacturer of electrical connectors, ILSCO, now brings to market SureCrimp copper compression connectors with a slotted bolt hole in the tang.

The slot in the tang of type CSLT connectors offers the installer flexibility in the field in that the series satisfies hole spacing requirements from 5/8” – 1” which will reduce inventory requirements. The slot also accommodates variations in stud spacing on bus bars or generator paddles without having to make any modifications to the bolt hole.  The bolt hole spacing 1” – 1 ¾”, which is most common, is covered in those connectors that accept larger conductor sizes. ILSCO’s breadth of offering includes conductor sizes 1000kcmil – #6, with bolt hole sizes ranging from ¼” – ½”, making ILSCO the industry leader in the number of solutions offered in this category.

SureCrimp connectors are UL Listed and CSA Certified for multiple conductor classes.  UL 467 Listed 500kcmil – 8AWG, #8 – #2 solid.  Suitable for use in circuits rated 35KV or less (Refer to UL486A – UL486B); proper high voltage spacing and insulation techniques must be used.
