Inox Wind’s 113-m rotor-diameter WTG was tested by TUV SUD to have one of the highest generation performances per kilowatt of all WTG variants available in India.

Inox Wind Limited sets the pace for technological innovation in the wind-turbine industry in India, by receiving type certification for the company’s 113-meter rotor-diameter wind turbine generator (WTG). The certification was awarded as per international standard GL 2010 by TUV SUD Gmbh, one of the world’s leading technical service organizations.

Inox Wind’s 113-m rotor-diameter WTG, the newest variant of the company’s 2-MW platform, was tested to have one of the highest generation performances per kilowatt of all WTG variants available in India. This latest product will be launched with multiple hub heights, including 92 m, 100 m, and 120 m. The 120-m tower represents the tallest hub height produced by Inox Wind.

“Inox Wind strives to be continually at the forefront of technological advances in the industry and provide the best possible solutions for our clients,” said Kailash Tarachandani, CEO of Inox Wind Limited. “The 113-m rotor-diameter WTG broadens the company’s portfolio of product offerings and will continue to build on the success of Inox Wind’s 2-MW platform. It combines the largest rotor diameter and the tallest tower produced by the company delivering superior return to clients while considerably reducing the cost of energy.”

This new WTG family significantly increases annual energy production, and is especially well suited for low-wind segments.

“Inox 113, one of the most technologically advanced WTG variants in India, is a groundbreaking product that will revolutionize the power sector in the country. Combined with the proven performance of the company’s 2-MW platform, the technology upgrade will drastically reduce the cost of energy and make wind power the lowest cost source of electricity in the country.” said Devansh Jain, Director of Inox Wind Limited.
