Klüber Lubrication to showcase its high-temperature lubricants at Reliable Plant 2015 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Klüber Lubrication, a worldwide manufacturer of specialty lubricants, will highlight its line of perfluorinated polyether (PFPE) based specialty greases at Reliable Plant 2015. The annual conference and exhibition for machinery lubrication, oil analysis, and reliability professionals will be held April 21–23 at the Cleveland Convention Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Representatives from Klüber Lubrication will be available at booth #813 to discuss the company’s products, services, and expertise.

This line of products offers lubricant solutions for high-temperature applications (up to 250° C) and applications exposed to aggressive media. One example is Klübertemp GR AR 555, a multi-purpose lubricant offering exceptional corrosion protection and high-evaporation stability. Klübertemp GR AR 555 is a white, homogeneous long-term grease based on a PFPE and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and is NSF H1 registered. Common applications include pillow blocks/bearings, seals, rotary joints and ball bearing chains, as well as circulating fan bearings in various textile machinery. Lubricants based on PFPE and PTFE are inert and generally regarded as neutral towards most elastomers and plastics.

Also during the conference, Steve Mazzola, director of application engineering for Klüber Lubrication NA LP, will present “Why All PFPE Greases Are Not The Same.” Greases based on PFPE oils are specialized lubricants that are made of higher level chemistries. Understanding how and where they should/could be used is of the utmost importance to the end user. These chemistry and material changes are important to consider in order to optimize equipment performance. This “Lubrication Selection” session will give participants an understanding of how PFPE-based greases offer clear advantages in certain applications, where other greases do not perform adequately. Participants will also learn the basic chemical composition of PFPE greases, their features and benefits, and where and how they should be used.
