Lightest weight carbon noncrimp fabric ever

By Paul Dvorak | August 17, 2011

The lightest weight, double-bias-carbon fabric is now available. The C-BX 0300 (100 gsm) is the newest product in the VectorUltra line of reinforcements . “For the first time, we have a product that is lightweight and offers better mechanical properties than traditional 1K woven carbon fabrics,” says Vectorply Corp. Co-President Trey Sawtelle.

The ability to spread carbon fiber tow into thin layers provides a high performance reinforcement fabric at a lower cost, compared to a 1K carbon woven fabric of comparable weight. Samples are available for immediate shipment.
