Littelfuse Inc., a leader in circuit protection, today announced that three new lines of Littelfuse products have been selected as finalists in the Electrical Safety category of Plant Engineering magazine’s 2017 Product of the Year program.
Marking the third consecutive year Littelfuse products have been recognized in the program, the finalists qualified are MP8000 Bluetooth Overload Relays, AF0100 Arc-Flash Relays, and POWR-SPEED PSR High-Speed Fuses.

The first relays on the market with built-in Bluebooth capabilities, the MP8000 Series allow safe communication from up to 30 feet away using an app on an iPhone or Android smartphone or tablet.
“Littelfuse is committed to delivering solutions that improve electrical safety and system protection for our customers,” says Darrick Santa Maria, Director, Product Management, Industrial Business Unit, Littelfuse. “We are proud to have three new product lines nominated for such a crucial category.”
MP8000 Bluetooth Overload Relays
The first relays on the market with built-in Bluebooth capabilities, the MP8000 Series allow safe communication from up to 30 feet away using an app on an iPhone or Android smartphone or tablet. These fully-integrated relays also require less wiring, which reduces set up time.
AF0100 Arc-Flash Relays
Compact and cost-effective, AF0100 Series is sized to fit tight footprints and budgets. Both DIN-rail and surface-mountable, these arc-flash relays can be retrofitted easily into existing switchgear or pre-installed in new equipment with little or no configuration.
PSR High-Speed Fuses
Combining extreme current limitation and excellent cycling capability, the POWR-SPEED PSR Series feature direct bus-bar mount construction with blown fuse indication included. Plus, the square body design of these fuses accommodates high current ratings with enhanced DC performance in a smaller footprint than the traditional round body style of high-speed fuses.
