Low Volume Flow Meters from Graco

By Windpower Engineering | August 27, 2009

Graco Flow Meter ArticleThe recent SDM15 and SDP15 flow meters feature high flow rates (14.0 gpm, 53.0 lpm) for fast dispense times. The series, from Graco Inc., Minneapolis, also includes the SDM5 and SDP5 meters for lower flow rate tasks, up to 5.0 gpm (18.9 lpm). The series includes preset models, some with the capability to program up to three preset settings. Other innovations include a variable-flow triggering that controls the dispense flow. A pressure balanced valve provides equal trigger force at low and high flows for less operator fatigue. And lastly, a straight-thread, O-ring, boss-nozzle extension provides non-leaking performance without sealant or tape, while a twist-lock nozzle eliminates dripping. All these innovations are packaged in an all-metal fluid housing for indoor and outdoor use, providing unmatched durability and reliability.

Also available is the SDV15, a non-metered valve which includes many of the same features of the metered versions.

The developer also has a new family of standard-flow electronic meters, dubbed LDM5 and LDP5. These are for indoor dispense applications and provide standard flow rates of 5.0 gpm (18.9 lpm). The family includes manual dispense and preset dispense models with a number of optional accessories to custom configure the meter.
