Texas-based, wind turbine blade maintenance specialists, GEV Wind Power is to showcase its unique Blade247 Preventative Maintenance Package and other industry-leading innovations at the Chicago AWEA Wind Power Expo in Booth 1647.
GEV Wind Power’s Blade247 (www.blade247.com) provides a tiered preventative maintenance package to suit the risk appetite and cost profile of its clients. Blade247 will reduce O&M costs, increase energy production and prolong the life of the blades. GEV will also be discussing its Ventura Habitat product which provides a protective and controllable working environment for glass fiber repairs. This unique innovation allows technicians to operate in otherwise prohibitive environmental conditions and enables GEV to take on the weather risk that continually blights maintenance programs.
With years of success across demanding offshore and onshore environments around the world, GEV Wind Power has extensive expertise which CEO David Fletcher and US General Manager Dan Boon will be sharing at the show.
CEO of GEV Group David Fletcher said: “We are looking forward to attending the show again and sharing our innovations with delegates. GEV has amassed over 6GW of experience throughout the global wind energy industry and we are leveraging every ounce of expertise to help provide the US market with the very best blade maintenance solutions.
“To do this we continually invest in research and development to bring products such as Blade247 to market and ensure blades are effectively maintained. From annual inspections through fabric maintenance, modifications, and upgrades, to the most serious of blade repairs from lightning strikes, we offer complete turnkey solutions – most recently introducing off turbine blade repairs. “This is then matched with the very best training for our technicians to ensure they have the highest level of capability and skills. Our aim, through Blade247 preventative maintenance, is to ensure our clients have predictability of their O&M cash-flow and maximize life from their blades.”
