Moventas has been certified for wind turbine gearbox supply and repairs in Europe by Achilles, a supplier of risk management services that aims to identify evaluate and pre-qualify suppliers on behalf of the main players in the wind industry.
The certification let Moventas demonstrate its ability to meet the requirements for the wind turbine gearbox supply and repairs. A 4 MW Exceed gearbox is pictured.
Certification audit was carried out independently by Achilles South Europe and it provides stringent assurances especially focused on demonstrable compliance with requirements concerning safety, health, quality and the environment. The certification allows Moventas to demonstrate its ability to meet the requirements for the wind turbine gearbox supply and repairs.
“Moventas underwent a rigorous pre-qualification exercise before being awarded Achilles supplier status. We are pleased to announce that Moventas continues being certified by Achilles”, says Pedro Figueiras, Moventas Senior Vice President. The certification is valid until January 2018.
