Moventas France will be responsible for industrial gear service and gearbox markets there and will enter the wind-gears-service market in the country.

The new subsidiary will be building Moventas’ local service and technical support in France, for its industrial and wind gears products. Moventas France will be responsible for industrial gear service and gearbox markets there and will enter the wind-gears-service market in the country. It also supports the company’s Mediterranean unit in the industrial-gear market in Italy, Spain, and the rest of the Mediterranean area.

Moventas already has a good foundation among industrial gear clients in France, because the company has cooperated with industrial agent Medpaper in the country since 2008.

The new subsidiary is located in Bordeaux and will be led by François Bonomo, who joined Moventas from Medpaper. “The outlook in France is promising,” says Bonomo. “Our focus is now on the continuous development of Moventas’ installed base especially in industrial gears, with service and gearbox sales. We can also clearly see good wind gear service opportunities.”

The French subsidiary will start with building a local service offering. Moventas’ service portfolio covers the entire product lifecycle from design, manufacture, and repairs to spare parts, upgrades, and overhaul. The company also offers a state-of-the-art condition management system, CMaS, for real-time preventive maintenance of wind and other industrial gears, which also provides 24/7 support from gearbox experts on call.
