Gear manufacturer, Moventas, will display its newly launched mobile workshop at WINDPOWER 2013 at McCormick place, in Chicago, May 5– 8, at booth 3153. The tradeshow will mark the first opportunity for wind power executives to tour the custom-built mobile workshops, which are designed to support Moventas’ extensive up-tower field service program.
The workshop features a retractable roof, a power generator, plumbed air lines, a part washbasin, and an induction heater. Stocked with proprietary up-tower tools designed by Moventas leading service technicians, all three mobile workshops are also equipped with cutting and welding capabilities, making it possible to offer a wider range of on-site services than ever before. The units are strategically located throughout North America. Up-tower services include:
- Full helical repairs
- High speed pinion & bearing repairs
- Intermediate assembly & bearing repairs
- Low speed assembly & bearing repairs
- Planetary sun pinion repairs
